Regional Printing Industry Advisory Group Elects New Officers |
Martinsburg, WV – The Regional Printing Industry Advisory Group (RPIAG) is pleased to announce their new Board of Directors: Chairman: Scott Landis, Berryville Graphics Secretary: Thomas Dahbura, Hub Labels Immediate Past Chair: Bill Pence, Perry Judd’s Board Members: Christine Buckley-Henry, Buckley’s Printing Garon Gembe, Graphics Universal Ed Altemose, Quebecor World - Martinsburg |
The ongoing purpose and goal of RPIAG is to oversee the activities of the Regional Printing Institute (RPI), which was created in 1998 to support the printing industry in the Quad State region. One of the ongoing goals of RPI is support the printing industry in several ways, including provides customized training for the regional employers. This activity can occur onsite at the company facility or at James Rumsey Technical Institute in Hedgesville, West Virginia. RPI conducts training programs on such topics as: printing technology, press technology, pre-press and printing administration. |
The Regional Printing Industry is currently working on two additional activities to complement their goals. RPI has launched “Intro to Print” which is a program for high school seniors to learn about the graphic communications industry with classroom training and plant tours throughout a school semester. RPI has formed the “Print Academy”, a training program for national customer service certification. This upcoming January, RPI will be celebrating International Printing Week with several activities and an industry awards banquet. |
