Group Strategy Planning Training

The purpose of the Group Strategy Planning Training is to:

  • Develop local company leaders’ capability to identify and prioritize strategic improvements to their products and services.
  • Provide an opportunity for each company/organization to initiate the process of identifying and prioritizing strategic improvements with feedback and suggestions from the instructor and fellow participants.
  • Participants understand and are capable of using the strategic planning process, including how to:
    • Develop/modify a company/organization vision and mission.
    • Identify trends and conditions that influence the organization.
    • Identify issues facing the organization.
    • Identify objectives and business critical performance measures.
    • Identify improvement strategies to achieve the objectives.
    • Develop plans to manage improvements over time.
  • Participants initiate the strategic planning process for his or her own company/organization and develop action plans to complete and implement upon returning to the organization.
  • It is assumed that each group consists of 3-6 key leaders within the same company/organization and the participants are in a position to influence the strategic decisions of their company/organization.
The training will be conducted using a train-apply-review approach. Participants will be given training on a step of the process as a large group. They will then be given time as company/organization groups to apply what they have just learned, followed by a brief review with the larger group. This will be repeated for each step of the process.
A Participant Training Manual will be provided to each participant.
Cost $350 per company (1 college credit available). Groups of 3 – 6 individuals within the same company/organization and the participants are in a position to influence the strategic decisions of their company/organization.
